Our Joint U Buffet Event brought together alumni, friends, and professionals from across our wider university and professional communities for one remarkable Joint U experience, featuring afternoon tea, dinner buffet, parade ring access, and insights from prominent speakers. A heartfelt thank you to our distinguished speakers for making the evening so engaging. Mr. Albert Wong, Former HKSTP CEO, shared valuable perspectives on innovation, entrepreneurship, and industrialization in Hong Kong, while Dr. K.P. Chow, Former MSc Programme Director, Department of Computer Science, HKU, shared an inspiring story of Dr. Lai Ka-ying, Hong Kong’s first astronaut and his former PhD student. The evening also featured Inside the Winner’s Circle, where Mr. Charles Ho introduced the HKJC membership and horse ownership journey. Later in the evening, Mr. Andrew Lau brought the excitement of horse racing to life with a lively horse racing game introduction. With the support from alumni of HKU MEICOM, #HKUMBA, #HKUFTDA, #HKUMScCS, HKUST MBA Alumni, and Association of Blockchain Development 區塊鏈開發協會, the event created a meaningful platform for alumni to reconnect, exchange ideas, and build new connections. It was a pleasure to see strong engagement throughout the day — a true reflection of the strength of our alumni community.
